Casual Vacancy

A vacancy has arisen on the Parish Council, due to a recent resignation

If by 21 November 2024 a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by ten electors for Bottesford Parish, an election will be held to fill the vacancy, otherwise it will be filled by the parish council voting to co-opt the most suitable person.

To qualify, a person must be a British subject, aged over 18 years old and an elector, must reside in, or within 3 miles of, the Bottesford Parish boundary or occupy as owner or tenant any land or premises therein, or have their principal or only place of work there, and must not be disqualified from holding office as a Councillor.
