In addition to its legal duties Bottesford Parish Council aims to use its powers to impact the local community in a positive way.

• Street Lighting – The Parish Council maintain 94 streetlamps throughout Bottesford.
• Bins and Benches -The Parish Council has provided over 70 litter bins, almost 40 dog waste bins and over 40 benches around the parish. The bins are emptied by Melton Borough Council contractors on a weekly basis. Any damage to bins or benches can be reported to the Parish Clerk.
• Defibrillators - There are 9 defibrillators in the parish monitored and maintained by the Parish Council.
• Room Hire - The Parish Council rents and maintains The Old School building on Grantham Road for use not only as a Parish Office but also to provide a space that can be used by community groups and local classes etc.
